I don’t know which I like more; the heart when you hit it, or the new post layout.

No seriously, you’ve got to trust me when I say don’t ask. I said don’t ask because…it’s not something that God wants me to be talking about.

I just needed to get that out. To let people know that…even though I do smile, and even though I do consider my life a great one, things do still happen to me.  I do still get “slapped” in the face or pushed down to the ground.  I’m not perfect, my life’s not perfect. And I want people to know this so that hopefully..God can inspire them/you through me.

I just want people to see the power that God has. The kind of power where even when someone speaks unjustly to you, or someone teases you, or tears your trust apart, He can and will heal you. He can and will wrap you in His arms with His love and He will comfort you.

And He’ll make your life beautiful because that’s what He wants for you. You just have to take a leap of faith.

Why are we so focused on us being beautiful? Why are we so focused on our happiness?

Life is not about being happy or feeling beautiful.  Life is not about being entertained by the things on this planet.  Life is not about signing in to your blog and scrolling the hours away.  Life is not about watching MTV or Nickelodeon.  Life is not about beating every level on a video game.

Life is about glorifying God.  Life is about getting out there and serving Him with everything that we have.

When we fast, it’s not just a break from a certain thing or pass-time.  We’re supposed to be filling the time that that item or event took up with servitude to God; learning more about Him and teaching others about Him and being active in His community.

So what’s stopping us?

He loves every little bit of you!

“I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” -Psalm 139:14

Sometimes there’s that feeling that comes around where you feel like dirt.  Where you wonder if people are really true when they say you’re beautiful. Where you wonder if anyone really likes you.  And if they do think you’re beautiful, why? If they do like you, why would they?

It doesn’t matter though.  It quite honestly does not matter what people think or if people like you!

Why?

Because God likes you! God loves you! He loves you so much that He’s always with you. You never have to worry about Him not being there for you. You never have to worry about Him leaving. Because He loves you.

He put thought and energy into making you a beautiful person with your own special personality!

He knows everything about you. He designed everything about you. He planned your special qualities and gifts even while you were in your mother’s womb. He loved you even then.

He loved you even then so much that he planned your life for you. He planned your beautiful days and moments. He planned things to makes you grow and smile. And most importantly, He planned your life with Him.

Prayer:Thank You, Lord, for making me so special. Thank You for loving me so much and for always being with me. You are wonderful. Amen!
